I am at a turning point, which I already defined to be spanning through, at least, three areas of my present everyday life and my vision. The blog is one of the things I am rethinking.
I am going to share all the process in a series of posts. Starting with how do I set up a thinking framework:
I am going to share all the process in a series of posts. Starting with how do I set up a thinking framework:
Process overview
First, I will describe some data about the blog, which I will analyze and meditate about, driving me to the setting of a new goal for the blog.
This is actually very similar to the visual thinking process described by Dan Roam in his book "The back of the napkin". Except that I am not including here the last step, "Showing", which for my purpose could be traslated as following the plan and taking action.
The process subjects
I will be looking into three different aspects of the blog, and I will follow the process for each of them:
The audience data is worth my careful attention because it is the first and only external feedback I have. External feedback is valuable and scarce in comparison with my own, continuous, internal opinions. I will look into all the audience data I can gather where you, readers. may be pointing out the things I cannot see by myself.
Content is probably where I am already seeing things without the need to look too much. But some patterns are seen more easily than others, and they are not necessarily the most useful ones. I need to look further and see more patterns, so I can imagine and plan new strategies. Designing new patterns akin to the new goal.

Set to go

A side note: This may look as I am focusing on talking about the process instead of doing it. I actually have almost written the post were I look at all the data. But then I realized showing the thinking process could be very interesting and makes a nice introduction as well.
